the following being added to 'the use of premises guidelines' for any of our day rentals or long term rentals:

To stay in one of our rental units - Long term or Short term - We ask that you

do not spray hazardous products inside, such as silicone spray or any other spray products (propellants can be health hazardous). In particular, do not use products that have an EPA registration number (Fantastik, Lysol Tub'n Tile) as it usually means there is a pesticide component such as BUTYL which causes autoimmune issues and cancers.

Worst exposure is getting the vapors in your eyes ... affecting children and pets as well as adults.

Do not use fingernail polish as such products contain DI-butyl & cuticle areas are also a serious route for this chemical's exposure

Housewives?  (Law exempts individuals from knowing what is in the products they use in their homes;  I would like to know what is in Mela-leuca Tub 'n Tile ... but the company refuses to tell me.  Based on how it cleans and on how I react to it, I suspect 2-butoxyethanol is one of the ingredients)

Carpet cleaning should be suspect for containing 2-butoxyethanol.  Should let the rooms air-out before living in the area / set up fans to help carpets dry.

Main errors of home carpet cleaning is using too much soap; getting carpets too wet; not removing as much water as possible during the rinse cycle.
